We start with the resource, not the scheme
Too many projects are designed backwards, from an available subsidy to a facility, and only then to a site. We start from water, soil, seed availability, feed logistics, power, road access, skills and market distance. If the resource does not support the plan, we say so before money is spent.
We design for who will actually run it
A system that needs a trained technician on site every day will fail in a location that cannot retain one. Technology selection is a human question as much as an engineering one. We design to the operator we actually have.
We stay past commissioning
The gap between a built facility and a producing facility is where most public investment is lost. Our engagements are structured to include operations handholding and performance monitoring, not to end at the inauguration.
We treat the market as part of the design
Production without an offtake plan produces gluts and distress sales. Market assessment, quality specification and buyer linkage are built into the project design, not added afterwards.
We work through institutions
Individual farmers do not have the scale to buy inputs well, access finance, meet quality standards or negotiate price. Wherever the project allows it, we build or strengthen a producer institution so that the gains outlast our engagement.
We are honest about what we do not know
Aquaculture is site specific and biology is unforgiving. Where a question needs trials, we run trials. Where it needs a specialist we do not have, we bring one in from our network.
