Global Association of MSMEs
The Global Association of MSMEs, GAMSME, is an industry association for micro, small and medium enterprises, launched on World MSME Day, 27 June 2026. It works on enterprise development, cluster promotion, market access and institutional linkage, with a strong programme focus on North East India.
Our collaboration with GAMSME connects aquaculture producers to the wider MSME ecosystem. GAMSME brings the enterprise and cluster mandate, government and institutional access, and buyer connect through its member and partner network. Living Roots Network brings the aquaculture technical design, technology integration and project management.
Together we work on
- Fisheries and aquaculture cluster development, including common facility centres under national MSME cluster programmes
- Enterprise development and incubation for fisheries MSMEs and first generation entrepreneurs
- Vendor development and buyer connect for fish, shellfish, ornamental fish and value added aquatic products
- Access to finance, compliance and scheme linkage for aquaculture enterprises
- Skill development and value addition programmes in fisheries and allied sectors
School of Livelihood and Rural Development
The School of Livelihood and Rural Development, SLRD, is a rural development institution with more than two decades of field presence and offices in Bhopal and Guwahati. Its work covers rural enterprise development, producer institution building, natural resource management, training and extension.
Our collaboration with SLRD gives aquaculture projects the community depth they need. SLRD brings mobilisation, producer institution building and a long standing presence in the villages where projects are located. Living Roots Network brings the aquaculture specialisation.
Together we work on
- Formation and strengthening of farmer producer companies, cooperatives and fisher groups
- Community mobilisation and long term field presence in project locations
- Farmer training, extension and demonstration units
- Integration of aquaculture into wider rural livelihood systems covering agriculture, agroforestry, soil health and water
- Watershed and water resource work that makes aquaculture viable in the first place
How the three work together
On cluster and programme scale work, the three organisations come together with clearly separated roles. GAMSME anchors the enterprise, cluster and market side. SLRD anchors the community, producer institution and training side. Living Roots Network anchors the aquaculture technical design, technology integration and project management. A single client relationship, three depths of capability, and no gaps between them.

Alongside these core collaborations, we maintain working relationships with aquaculture technology providers, equipment manufacturers, research and academic institutions, and standards and certification bodies in India and other countries. These relationships are how proven practice reaches projects here, and how our services reach markets outside the region.
