National Lok Adalat In Jorhat Resolves 43 Cases In Single Day

Jorhat | In a significant push towards speedy and accessible justice delivery, a National Lok Adalat organised in Jorhat resolved 43 pending cases in a single day, with settlements involving disputes valued at nearly Rs 69 lakh.

The Lok Adalat was conducted at the District and Sessions Court premises under the supervision of judicial authorities and legal service officials. Various categories of pending matters were taken up for settlement through mutual understanding and conciliation between the parties involved.

According to available information, the resolved matters included cheque bounce cases, compensation-related disputes, financial settlements, and several civil matters. Officials stated that both parties were encouraged to reach amicable solutions outside prolonged legal proceedings.
