Nagaland Olympic and Paralympic Games 2026 Scheduled from April 7–18
Kohima, March 2: The Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) has announced that the Nagaland Olympic and Paralympic Games (NOPG) 2026 will be held from April 7 to 18 across Kohima, Chümoukedima, and Dimapur. However, the football events will begin on April 7, while competitions in all other disciplines will start on April 14.
The Games will feature Archery, Athletics, Boxing, Wushu, Football, Badminton, Pencak Silat, Basketball, and Taekwondo, selected based on the upcoming 4th North East Games and available infrastructure. Contingents will represent all 17 districts of Nagaland.
Player registration will open online from March 20 and close on April 1. Once registered, athlete names cannot be changed. Each district will appoint a chef de mission and deputy chef de mission, with details to be submitted to NOA by March 17.
The Games Organising Committee will provide accommodation, local transport, food, and technical arrangements. A preparation fund of INR 2,000 per athlete will be released, along with bus fare to Chümoukedima, via district offices. District deputy commissioners must send bank details to noafinancedept@gmail.com by March 13.
For coordination, officials Khuvinu Tase (9362355375) and Kivitoli Shohe (9863188216) are available 10 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday. Separate notifications will follow for Paralympic events, medal lists, and specific competition details.
