Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday (March 4) stated that the Assam government invested ₹26,409 crore in infrastructure development during the financial year 2024–25, highlighting the state’s continued push towards improving connectivity and long-term development.

The Chief Minister shared the update through a post on the social media platform X, noting that the investment reflects the government’s focus on building strong public infrastructure that can support economic growth and regional connectivity.

According to the government, the funds were directed towards strengthening roads, bridges, healthcare facilities, power networks, educational institutions, and digital infrastructure across various parts of the state.

Officials said improving connectivity remains a key priority, particularly through the development of major transport corridors and bridges across the Brahmaputra River, aimed at reducing travel time and improving access to remote and riverine areas.

The government believes that enhanced infrastructure will play an important role in boosting industrial growth, tourism, and access to essential services, while also supporting broader economic development in Assam.
