Zubeen Garg Case: After Shyamkanu, Siddharth Sharma Files Bail Plea

Guwahati, April 21: In a fresh development in the case linked to the alleged death of Zubeen Garg, another accused, Siddharth Sharma, has filed an application seeking bail before a local court.

This comes soon after co-accused Shyamkanu moved a similar plea, with both applications now likely to be taken up for hearing in due course.

Sources indicate that the defence has sought bail citing legal grounds such as cooperation with the investigation and procedural considerations. The prosecution is expected to contest the applications, pointing to the gravity of the matter.

The case has drawn widespread attention across Assam, with authorities continuing their investigation. Officials have maintained that further details cannot be disclosed at this stage as the probe remains ongoing.

Legal observers say the court’s decision will depend on multiple factors, including the evidence presented, the specific role attributed to each accused, and the progress of the investigation.
